Affiliate disclosure
How this site earns money, and what our information can and cannot promise.

Affiliate links
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you buy something after clicking one, the store may pay us a commission. The price stays the same for you, and commissions do not decide which emergency supplies we recommend.
The stores we may work with include Amazon, Midland, Raddy and C.Crane. Each store button goes through a short redirect on our site, so we can send you to the store for your country and keep automated traffic away from those links.
Why commissions do not set the order
The order on each shortlist comes from the formula on our methodology page: emergency features, tester picks and search demand. Commission is not part of it.
Prices
A price on this site is the price in the maker's own US store on the date we name. Prices change, and the store's own page always wins. We do not show Amazon prices, and we do not track price history.
Specs and claims
Specs come from the makers. Capacity, runtime, filter life and shelf life are claims by the maker, and we label them that way. Follow the maker's instructions for water treatment, food storage and first aid supplies.
No professional advice
This site helps you compare products. It does not replace official guidance from emergency services or weather authorities in your area.
