The best first aid kits for emergencies
First aid kits for home, car and go-bag, plus trauma kits.
Updated October 6, 2026
The second question is bleeding control. Some kits on this list include a tourniquet and others do not. One brand adds a tourniquet only in its Pro versions. Piece counts are the maker's own count so compare the contents rather than the number.

Frequently asked questions
Which is the best first aid kit with a tourniquet?
Five kits list a tourniquet as standard. Three are trauma kits: MyMedic MyFAK Mini Pro, Rhino Rescue SE IFAK and Everlit Advanced Trauma Kit. The Adventure Medical Kits Trauma Pak Pro pairs one with QuikClot gauze in a pocket pouch. The Lightning X Hard Case First Aid Kit Class B+ adds one to a 364 piece wall case. The MyMedic MyFAK and MyMedic Recon only add one in Pro versions.
Is a first aid kit HSA eligible?
Retailer listings mark the Protect Life First Aid Kit 200 Piece as HSA/FSA eligible. The North American Rescue C-A-T Tourniquet Gen 7 is listed the same way. No other kit on this shortlist states HSA or FSA eligibility in its data. Eligibility is shown on the retailer listing. Check the listing for each kit before you order.
MyFAK Standard vs Pro: what changes?
The Standard MyFAK has no tourniquet. The Pro versions add either a Windlass or a RATS tourniquet. The same split applies to the MyMedic MyFAK Large and the MyMedic Recon. Both versions share the ballistic nylon MOLLE bag and the over-the-counter medications that OutdoorGearLab noted. The Amazon listing is the Standard version and the Pro has its own listing.
